Shows are no longer held on Fridays. Also we are sorry to inform but on June 24, and June 25, 2017 all shows are cancelled, shows will resume next weekend. For more information on the educational shows that the zoo offers and more check out www.lurayzoo.com
On May 20, 2017 from 10AM to 5PM Regular Child Admission to Luray Zoo A Rescue Zoo (ages 0-12) will be FREE.
This special event will be held rain or shine and will not be rescheduled. Please remember zoo policy that no individual age 15 years or younger may tour the zoo without an adult/parent/or guardian. An adult/parent/or guardian must accompany individuals 15 years or younger in the zoo and will be required to pay admission. No other coupons or discounts will be given on admission on May 20, 2017. Please remember parking is limited, carpooling is a great idea!
Opening day for 2017 season is March 1, 2017!
Starting March 2017 thru October 2017 the zoo is open daily 10am to 5pm including holidays.
Check zoos website later in the season for 2017/2018 winter hours ( November 2017 thru February 2018).
Luray Zoo A Rescue Zoo welcomes another new animal into the zoo family! Yukon the Canadian Lynx arrived at the zoo on February 22, 2017. Yukon is adapting very well to his new home here. We are in the process of putting the last finishing touches on his enclosure and are in the process of completing his den, all should be completed by the start of this upcoming week! Yukon will be on exhibit to the public while we do the last finishing touches to his enclosure and finish his den.
The zoo is currently open weekends 11am-4pm.
March 1, 2017 is the opening day of the 2017 season and the zoo hours will then 10am-5pm daily until October. Then the zoo will then switch back to its winter hours November 2017.For more information on hours of operations click here.
Luray Zoo A Rescue Zoo welcomes a new member to the zoo family, Mr. Blueberries a Vervet Monkey. He came to call the zoo home on February 16, 2017. Mr. Blueberries is on exhibit and is adapting very nicely to his new home here at Luray Zoo A Rescue Zoo.

We have had many calls asking if we sell season passes online. At this time we do not, but if you wish to purchase season passes either for yourself or as a gift, you do not have to come to the zoo all you have to do is call 540-743-4113! When you call please have the first and last name of the individuals you are purchasing passes for, know if they are an adult pass (ages 13-55), senior pass (age 56+) or child pass (ages 3-12). We will take down all the information and send you a PayPal invoice, once invoice is paid you will receive an email with your Season Pass Vouchers that you print out and bring in on your first visit to verify information and complete season pass information forms and claim your season pass.
